The Sound of our Water project gives young people around the world an opportunity to develop their personal relationship with one of the most important matters in the world, water, through their own artistic expression. Please continue to the community web site.
Throughout the programme, young people will be invited to build collections of sound samples and compose soundscapes and music pieces on water. The audio samples are recorded by the young people, from their local environments and shared with all the participants through the web site. The pieces are composed using freely available Open Source audio editing software. The resulting art works, which are collaborative created, will be presented and discussed in a global forum on web, and public concerts at schools.
With this open interdisciplinary approach the project is integrating new methodologies of art education with such school subjects as biology, geography, culture and international cooperation.
