The purpose of this act is to establish the Victorian Coastal Council in Australia; to provide for the establishment of Regional Coastal Board; to provide for co-ordinated strategic planning and management for the Victorian coast, to provide for the preparation and implementation of management plans for coastal Crown land, and to provide a co-ordinated approach to approvals for the use and development of the coastal Crown land.
