National Park Habitats

Montenegro
22.500 ha – water surface, 7.800 ha – permanently flooded areas, 5.200 ha – periodically flooded areas, 12.500 hills and rocky terrains on the southern coast and rocky islands, 812 ha – ornitological reserves. 
Albania

15,719 ha – water surface, 1,965 ha – forests,  8,851 ha comprising the lake shore, Taraboshi mountain and Shkodra city

Biodiversity

279 bird species, 90% of which are migrating birds Rare/endangered pelican species.
More than 50 fish species (of which 15 are endemic). 
Flora is heterogeneous (depending on type of habitat) with more than 30 types of rare plants.
