10th Technical Symposium on Mekong Fisheries

Notification of dates and call for papers

The MRC Fisheries Programme will hold the 10th Technical Symposium on Mekong Fisheries in Pakse, Champasack province, Lao PDR, on the 11-13 November 2009. Venue to be announced at later date.

The symposium will be arranged around three themes: (i) fisheries ecology, evaluation and mitigation, (ii) fisheries management, and (iii) aquaculture of indigenous Mekong species. The symposium will comprise both oral presentations and poster displays. There will also be a half day workshop (the topic will be advised later) followed by a one day field visit to Siphandone fisheries.
