OAS APPLICATION PROCEDURE

All
applications must be submitted electronically.
For applicants interested in more than one advertised position, a separate
application must be submitted for each announcement.

Only nationals of the Member States of the Organization of American States
(OAS) are eligible for employment with the General Secretariat.

The
Department of Human Resources will only accept applications if they are in
response to a specific employment opportunity announcement.

Applicants who do not meet the Minimum Requirements, as indicated in the
employment opportunity announcement, will not be considered.

The
duration of the selection process is approximately three months. Only
those applicants who are under serious consideration will be contacted for
an interview. During this process, all official documentation such
as, diplomas, certificates, etc.

If
an on-site interview test is required for the advertised position, the
applicant will be responsible for any travel expenditures.

Appointment of successful candidates as Director of National Offices in
the pertinent member states is subject to the approval of the Government
of those states.

Canadian nationals should note that basic salary and post adjustments may
be subject to Canadian Income Tax. Bulletin IT-21R2/Determination of an

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants must submit electronically the following
documents:
1.
OAS
Application Form (Form 60)
2.
Cover Letter: describing the reasons for which you want to work at the
General Secretariat of the OAS.
3.
Resume (Curriculum Vitae)
Any
applicant, external or internal, who does not complete and submit all
sections of the Application Form prior to the closing date stated on the
employment opportunity announcement, including the other required documentation, will not
be considered for the recruitment process.
