ACIA SYMPOSIUM - OPENING PRESS CONFERENCE

The Arctic Climate Impact Assessment (ACIA) - The Science Behind the ACIA Findings

A press conference will be held in connection with the ACIA Symposium and the official release of the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment (ACIA) Overview report. It will take place on:

The press conference will address questions relating to the scientific basis for the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment.

Present at the press conference will be:

• Robert Corell, Chair of the ACIA
  
• Helgi Jensson, Chair of the Arctic Council's Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP)
  
• Kent Wohl, Chair of the Arctic Council's Working Group on Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF)
  
• Terry Calaghan, Lead Author of ACIA Chapter on Impacts on Terrestrial Ecosystems
  
• Harald Loeng, Lead Author of ACIA Chapter on Impacts on Marine Systems
  
• Hjálmar Vilhjálmsson, Lead Author of ACIA Chapter on Fisheries
  
• Shari Fox Gearheard, Lead Author of ACIA Chapter on Indigenous Perspectives
  

Lead Authors of other chapters of the ACIA will be present in the audience.
