Sophie is communications professional specialising in agricultural, natural resource and science communication. She has broad experience across Australia and Asia in strategic communications and planning, issues management, partnerships and collaboration, team building and management, social media engagement, web site development, media and public relations, publishing, writing, and video production.
She is passionate about evidence-based insights and applying those to help natural resource managers. She spent five years working in the Philippines with the International Rice Research Institute during which time she travelled across Asia, including Indonesia, and Africa to support the Institute’s work. She is a qualified PADI scuba diver and has been lucky to have explored some of the Philippines’ coral reefs and will be supporting the CCRES researchers to help package their tools.
