The workshop intends to promote practical level discussion about GI infrastructure and facilities supporting environmental management in Europe. The aim is to present innovative service solutions that enable and assist in data collection, viewing, searching, download and archiving in local, regional and national scale.
The workshop invites professionals of environmental informatics and environmental authorities working in diverse countries and organizations to share their experiences and good practices on environmentally oriented spatial data infrastructures.
Submission dead line for paper and poster abstracts is 1st June. Early registrations before 1st August. Details on the workshop are available in the workshop homepage in http://envifacilitate.utu.fi > Workshop.
Participants of the workshop have an opportunity to spend four intensive days among spatial data themes in Finland since just before the workshop, a GIS conference takes place in Helsinki (on the 3rd and 4th of October).
