The European Maritime Policy Conference of the Baltic Sea area to be held in Kiel

The government of Land Schleswig-Holstein in cooperation with the Baltic Sea States Subregional Cooperation (BSSSC) and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg will organise the European Maritime Policy Conference of the Baltic Sea area on 20th - 21th of September 2006 in Kiel.

The Conference is part of EU Commission's consultation process on the Green Paper on European Maritime Policy which is expected to be adopted at the beginning of June. With publishing the Green Paper, EU Commission aims to launch a broad debate about a future Maritime Policy for the EU.
