Global warming fears "are exaggerated"

Environment Daily 1764, 09/11/04

Predictions of extreme climate change impacts employ "faulty logic, faulty science and faulty economics", according to a study by free-market think-tank IPN.

Published on Tuesday, the study systematically refutes claims on the effects of global warming made in a new Arctic climate impact assessment, and by the UN's intergovernmental panel on climate change.

Sea levels are more likely to rise by 10cm than a metre over the coming century, IPN maintains, while extreme whether events are not in fact increasing, and linking climate change with malaria is "unwarranted".
