Who should attend this workshop?

Project managers or their appointed project staff (e.g. information specialist, administrator, etc) interested in learning a project website and applying GIS and database technology within a website.

The basic requirements for participants attending the workshop include:

  1. Basic knowledge of Information Technology e.g. word processing, internet.

  2. Participant must be responsible or involved in development, > maintenance/updating content on the website.

"Prior experience with Information Technology is NOT required."

N.B.

  1. Limited funds are available to sponsor participants to attend the workshop.
  2. Registration to attend the workshop is required.
  3. UNEP/IW:LEARN staff in consultation with interested projects will develop mock-up websites prior to the workshop.
  4. During the workshop each participant will be learning on their own version of a project website (e.g. http://pemsea.iwlearn.org, http://iwww.wiolab.org)
