The LWMEA project aims to reduce the livestock induced environmental degradation of the open waters of East and South East Asia.
The LWMEA project aims to reduce the livestock induced environmental
degradation of the open waters of East and South East Asia, and the attendant
negative consequences for quality of life and human health in the region.
It is a collaboration between PR China, Viet Nam and Thailand, three of
the major livestock producing countries in the region, and the Food and
Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The World Bank, on behalf
of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), is co-financing the project.
