LWMEA team including Mr. Weiguo Zhou (World Bank Task Team leader), Mr. Hans Wagner (Regional Coordinator, RFO, FAO) and Mr Arux Chaiyakul (Project Manager, DLD, Thailand) attended the Fourth Biennial International Waters Conference in Cape Town, South Africa from July 31 - August 3, 2007. The conference is hosted by The Global Environment Facility (GEF) and its Implementing Agencies (UNDP, UNEP, and the World Bank). The purpose of the conference is to share experiences and innovative practices among GEF's global International Waters portfolio (nearly $4 billion), promote learning and capacity building, develop strategies to enhance stakeholder collaboration, and encourage GEF International Waters projects to apply evolving GEF policies and procedures during implementation.

The LWMEA booth had been demonstrated to present the project details and share experience with other GEF international water projects.
