MRC Sustainable Hydropower Programme Document Draft (March 1, 2009)

This Draft Programme Document is based on the Preliminary Draft Programme Document which was discussed at the Regional Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on the MRC Hydropower Programme held in Vientiane on 27 September 2008

The title and status of the Hydropower Programme are still under consideration based on comments received at the recent Council meeting and Regional Consultation on 25-27 September 2008. The options are presented in Section 4 of this draft and will be further discussed during the forthcoming national consultations. For consistency of reference throughout this draft version, the term Sustainable Hydropower Programme has been adopted as a temporary title.
