Description:

The South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) is a policy research institute. As its name suggests, SAIIA's Governance of Africa's Resources Programme (GARP) does policy-related research on natural resources, principally in southern and central Africa. The programme focuses both on non-renewable resources (minerals, oil and gas) and renewables (forestry and fisheries). This programme is based in Cape Town.
