South China Sea Project
South China Sea National Reports
The preparatory phase of the South China Sea Project involved the review and compilation of national data and information. The outputs of this process were included in national reports on mangroves, coral reefs, seagrass, wetlands, fisheries, and land-based pollution in the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand. Each of these reports were reviewed and revised by national and regional scientific and technical committees and published in 2007. The contents of these reports were an important source of information for the development of the Strategic Action Programme for the South China Sea and will act as an important reference for determining the effectiveness of management interventions during the period 2009-2013.
