Conclusions:

The water quality of Lake Tanganyika, for both biodiversity and health aspects, for the moment is good. However, pollution is growing rapidly as population and industrialization increase. The threats are many. Strong preventative measures must be taken to maintain Lake Tanganyika's water quality in light of population growth and development.
