One of the most important activities in the Benguela is oceanographic research. The Africana conduct regular oceanic transects, where biological and physical data are collected. This data is fundamental to guide the management of the most important fisheries in the area. In this picture an oxygen monitoring device is deployed to detect the movement of anoxic waters.
