TAG

The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) advises the project on technical aspects of project implementation. This group consists of:

 

        • The National Co-ordinators.

        • Representative from UNDP.

        • Selected regional experts to meet scientific and technical requirements.

        • Project Manager and/or Fisheries Management Expert.

        • Members of the Sulu-Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion Sub-committee on Sustainable Fisheries.

 

 

Responsibilities of the TAG include:

 

(i) Based on the approved project workplan and budget, provide scientific and technical guidance to the project.

(ii) Review the data and information generated from project activities, and provide guidelines on the data quality control, in particular for the preparation of TDA and SAP.

(iii) Review scientific and technical reports on project progress, together with recommendations to be considered and approved by the PSC.

(iv) May propose and present for consideration to the PSC scientific and technical co-operation and co-ordination with other international and regional organisations and projects to maximise the benefits of the project outcomes to the participating countries.

(v) Under the directives of the PSC, provide and review regularly the scientific and technical strategy to support management and sustainable use of small pelagic fisheries in the Sulu-Sulawesi area.


In consultation with the National Co-coordinators, regional experts will be selected to ensure well-rounded representation of expertise in the Group.
