As of March 2006, there were eighteen Parties. The United Kingdom (on behalf of Pitcairn Island) has withdrawn from SPREP. A Territory cannot be a Party to the Agreement Establishing SPREP, however it may participate in SPREP Meetings with the authorisation of the country responsible for its foreign affairs.
