Trans-boundary landscape conservation/Trans-boundary species and habitats conservation action plans
The activities have been implemented in two phases: Phase 1: Conservation and Action Planning for Priority Trans-boundary Habitats and Species in the Prespa Lakes Basin – Preparatory Phase; and Phase 2: Trans-boundary Species and Habitat Conservation Action Plans.
The key results of the activity include:
- Rapid assessment of the priority species and habitats in the Prespa Lake basin
- Recommendations for immediate small-scale conservation management interventions for selected species and habitats of conservation concern
- Status papers on the priority species and habitats ( Brown bear, Mountain Tea, Grecian Juniper Forest, Caves, Reed beds, Prespa Barbel)
- Brown bear conservation action plan
- Mountain tea conservation action plan
- Grecian Juniper conservation action plan
- Caves conservation action plan
- Reed beds conservation action plan
- Public information brochures / leaflets on the 5 selected priority species and habitats (Brown Bear, Mountain Tea, Grecian Juniper Forest, Caves, Reed beds)
