Handbook on the Implementation of the Carpathian Convention

The handbook is intended to be a practical tool for local authorities to assist them in taking action and developing policies and practices to help in the protection of, and the promotion of sustainable development in, the Carpathians through the international framework for cooperation set up under the Carpathian Convention. The introduction to the handbook provides background information on the Carpathian Convention, and the book includes a chapter on the preamble of the convention, chapters analysing article by article the substantive provisions of the convention, a section on institutional aspects and annexes (the text of the Carpathian Convention, and the status of participation of Carpathian countries in relevant multilateral agreements).
