The 4th YSLME Partners Meeting Agreed on Timetable to Adopt the Updated YSLME Strategic Action Programme

One November 28 of 2019, the Fourth Meeting of the Interim Commission Council of UNDP/GEF YSLME Phase II Project held in Jeju of RO Korea reviewed the second draft of the transboundary diagnostic analysis (TDA) update report and approved the workplan for update the strategic action programme (SAP) of YSLME up to 2030.

The meeting was participated by nearly 40 representatives from governments of the PR China, RO Korea, UNDP, UNOPS, members of the Regional Working Groups (RWGs) from the two countries. Observers from Nanjing University, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Fund (CBCGDP) and Shanghai Rendu Ocean NPO Development Center of PR China also attended this event.

 

Co- chaired by Mr. Jae-Ryoung OH of RO Korea and Mr. Bin WANG of PR China, the meeting also approved the extension plan up to December 31, 2020 and adopted the project progress report.

According to the meeting, the project audit will commence in early 2020 and terminal evaluation mission will start in mid-June. The meeting agreed to have the last council meeting and closure workshop in PR China.
