New website on PCBs in the Mediterranean

UNEP/MAP CP/RAC (United Nations Environment Program- Mediterranean Action Plan- Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production) and UNEP/MAP MEDPOL (United Nations Environment Program- Mediterranean Action Plan- Programme for the Assessment and Control of Pollution in the Mediterranean Region) have launched a new website on "PCBs in the Mediterranean" (www.pcbsmed.org ) seeking to provide access to general information on PCBs.

The website includes information on the PCB activities conducted under the project as well as information provided by countries participating in the Sub-Component 2.3. Environmentally Sound Management (ESM) of equipment, stocks and wastes containing or contaminated by PCBs in national electricity companies of Mediterranean countries, namely Albania and Egypt. It aims to encourage the exchange of information and experiences on PCBs management within the participating countries and others that might be interested on the topic.
