Training of Tunisian experts on Phosphogypsum Slurry Management in Florida, USA

Six experts from the Tunisian "Agence Nationale de Protection de l'Environnement" , the Secretariat of State for Sustainable Development, and Groupe Chimique Tunisien have been invited by Ardaman & Associates, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, USA for a training on Phosphogypsum Slurry Management from 9 to 16 November 2014. The primary objective of the training is to improve the Phosphogypsum Slurry disposal practices in Tunisia. In the framework of the training, participants will undertake site visits to Phosphogypsum disposal facilities in Florida to observe practices of operating physphogypsum stack systems, visit the Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Activity under sub-component  2.1 Facilitation of policy and legislation reforms for pollution reduction, facilitated by MEDPOL.
